SNIPEF

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) has published its consultation outcomes, outlining proposed changes, direction and requirements of the scheme in the coming month.  

Overall, the report outcomes broadly correspond with the themes in SNIPEF's consultation submission, particularly in endorsing the new scheme structure and implementing Customer Duty. These changes mark a significant move towards improved and more transparent standards in our industry. 

SNIPEF's recommendations for enhanced support and clarity for contractors and a more balanced responsibility between MCS and certification bodies were acknowledged to some extent. 

Some specific recommendations from SNIPEF, such as the mentoring system for new contractors, were not directly incorporated into the final report.
